I have been wanting to get Claire into swim lessons this summer, but time has gotten away from me. However, we signed her up for the swim lessons at Grandma's clubhouse pool, and Grandma Susan even volunteered to take her. It was adorable, but she was the oldest in the group and more advanced than the little tots. I will get her in some more age-appropriate classes soon, but this was lesson was all photo-op so enjoy the photos :-)

Claire's First Swim Lesson
Claire is a fish. No doubt about how much our girls love water. They are FEARLESS, which would make any parent nervous obviously.

Nevada Discovery Museum
Since, we have an annual pass, we go often. It was well worth the investment. The girls have so much fun when they go, and Cadence is a lot more active when we are there. Some pics worth sharing...

| That thing in the background is called the cloud. I can't ever let Claire climb it when I am alone because she always gets stuck and I have to climb it with a one year old. FUN! -not! |

Happy Birthday Dr. Spillers
A lot has changed in the last year for us, especially Jeff. He turned 28 on the 8th, and things look great for this year! We celebrated with Cocoa Puffs for breakfast, and since I NEVER EVER buy sugary cereal, this was a treat! And then we spent the day at Sand Harbor in Tahoe. It was low-key and fabulous!

Happy Fourth!
The girls were festive in their little outfits this year! I just had to share...
We waited until 1030 for fireworks, and finally gave up (darn wind). Claire was so sad leaving Josh and Christie's house (prime real estate for viewing said fireworks), until we got down the street and heard them going off. We were able to see them after all, and my night, as well as Claire's, was complete. Then it took all of 30 seconds for her to pass out in the car. :-)
Bev Visits!
My grandma came to visit us for a week at the end of June. It was so much fun having her here because she is not like a typical grandma that you think of, knitting in a rocking chair with a cat in her lap (I know,so cliche). Nope, my Grandma does Bikram yoga (often), goes to bed at one in the morning, and loves getting out and about . I am sure though, we wore her out multiple times, considering my kids are like the energizer bunny... They keep going and going and going :-) Whether it was getting out, or enjoying a day at home, I loved every minute of having her here, and so did the girls and Jeff.
We took her to see parts of Reno that we love, like the riverwalk downtown, Rancho San Rafael Park, Lake Tahoe, and the gorgeous early 1900's homes. We even bought a day pass to the spa at the Atlantis and enjoyed the amenities there (I soooo need a brine salt wall in my bathroom!) The girls had a blast with her and we all can't wait to see Grandma again. We love you grandma!

Claire says the Pledge...
Claire can say the pledge! I can't take full credit, since her school started teaching it to her in the first place... :-) Just in time for Independence Day!
