January Happenings...

We have mostly unpacked an gotten the house in order this month, but we did manage to do a few fun things in between...



Grandpa David came the weekend after we arrived. It was nice having some family here. He was mostly here to make sure Grandpa Bobby was doing okay, but we stole him away for a little while so he could golf with Jeff and play with the girls...

Claire and I checked out the Childrens Festival here. It was at the UofA campus, so we were able to take a mini tour of the campus. It had some tables with local kids programs, free slushies from the local fast food hot-spot Eegee's, and music and plays that Claire loved. She also crafted a one-of-a-kind crown and got a free balloon. It was fun for me just having a little time with my big girl.

 We had a lot of paint sessions this month and baking fun on the rainy days.

Whenever it's sunny, we visit a new park. I came across this sign at one of them. I am no stranger to the desert, but apparently, things get real here.
