Beauty at its finest

It is unbelieveable how such a beautiful lake can be in the backyard of a desert. One hour away from Reno, and you are in a mountainous oasis that is Lake Tahoe. I am still stunned at how beautiful the area is, especially in the summer. We have made a trip to the lake every Saturday for the last month. It never gets old. As you will se in the pictures, there is still snow on the mountains, so it is definitely not like Lake Mead in Southern Nevada, warm to boiling water. As little as we go in the water, we make up for it by building sand castles on the beach.
